Stay Hydrated - and not just a sip of water here and there, as much as you possibly can. Proper hydration has been shown to be a major preventative factor for altitude sickness
Ascend Slowly - Although not much of an option with air travel, if you do have the option to ascend at a slower rate, do so.
Dietary Supplementation - There are supplements on the market that have been shown to help reduce the signs of acute high altitude sickness and they are available for your consumption
